Dave Hays

Dave Hays is a lifelong outdoorsman with a passion for hunting and fishing that began at the age of seven in his grandfather's backyard in Bellefontaine Neighbors, North St. Louis County. An Army Veteran, Dave is dedicated to supporting organizations that serve and advocate for veterans. After his military service, he returned to St. Louis, where he married Shelly Preston, and eventually had two wonder children Robert & Taylor. With over a decade of experience at Monsanto Corporation, Dave transitioned into the real estate industry, which quickly became a true passion. He found immense satisfaction in assisting friends, family, and clients during some of the most important events in their lives, leading to meaningful business relationships and deep lifelong friendships.

 

Dave’s wife Shelly passed a few years ago, in that period of grief and loss when everything in his life was changing his family and his career were the two things than drove him to move forward with his life. After some time, Dave found and married Lori Sharpsteen and they have begun a new life together. Dave and Lori love to travel, planning hunting trips and figuring out amazing new ways to cook the game Dave brings home.  

 

Dave is also a proud grandfather to 5 amazing kids and loves taking them hunting and fishing just like his grandfather did with him.

With nearly three decades of experience in real estate, Dave joined Living the Dream Outdoor Properties LLC, fulfilling a longtime dream of working directly in the recreation, ranching, and farm industry.
